B L E U

Sorry for the really late entry. I've been quite busy and whenever I have free time I seem to just want to sleep. Last Sunday, my boyfriend decided to relax with our friends and grab some drinks. We went to our favorite place, Singlebarrel--- which I recommend everyone going to if you are ever in San Jose. It's a speakeasy bar and they really know their alcohol, I love the whole 1920's feel to it... the workers all dress in 1920's garments, very very awesome. A drink I recommend you all trying is an old fashion, they serve it with a Japanese spherical ice which doesn't dilute your drink. They're all friendly workers and if you don't know what to get, they would ask you questions to please your alcohol palette. I'm never disappointed with the drinks they make for me, and with the quality they put into making their drinks you would think it would be pricey, but it's not. I can go on and on about how much I love this place, but you would just have to experience it for yourselves if you are ever around the neighborhood.

So enough with the texts... I'll show pictures of my outfit for that evening. It's been a while since I wore a dress and I love wearing dresses, but due to the cold and rainy weather it doesn't encourage me to wear any... I decided to heck with it on that day and just wore one; good enough occasion to, don't you think?

Baby doll dress I don't even remember where I got it... one of my favorite coats from Zara, floral scarf from Ann Taylor Loft, peep toe heels from BCBGMAXAZRIA, magnifying glass necklace from Marc Jacobs, bracelets was a gift from my aunt.

I forgot why I was laughing, but I tend to laugh a lot...

Took a picture of myself while the boyfriend was driving me and our friend to Singlebarrel. Hehe...

Lately the weather has been absolutely gorgeous, way too hot for end of March/beginning of April but it beats the rain any day. I hope this beautiful weather will last a while, need to get a tan! Hope you all enjoy the upcoming weekend... till next time folks!

S A P A C O L L E C T I O N

So enough with my daily look, I decided to post my inspiration images and color story for my very very late Spring/Summer 2011 collection.

Last May I went to Vietnam for the first time and it was quite an interesting experience for me. It was never a place I felt like I had to visit even though that is where my family and relatives are born. My aunt and my mother decided it was time for me to start my clothing line and that Vietnam would be a great place to start. Besides being in Vietnam for business, I also had the pleasure to go see the country side of Vietnam and that's where I was inspired and fell in love. My aunt took my mother and I to Sapa and Ha Long Bay, it was a beautiful treat to see the vast ocean and their amazing mountains and to see the village people and see how they live. Seeing nature and being in a place you are not familiar with was definitely an amazing, relaxing, and inspiring treat. It was something I felt like I needed, it was a big stepping stone to my life and having this experience is something that I won't ever forget.
Although I feel like I am a city girl, Vietnam's city life is definitely not one that I can learn to live with. I was more attracted to their country living and how sincerely people were happy living the simple life and their vast lands. Being in the city and the country side was definitely a big change, the way people view life and the way they dress... but I guess you can say that about any country. Well, enough with my rambles... here are the pictures. I apologize in advance, this entry is picture heavy and they were all taken by me.

I was highly inspired by the lands, the clothing the village people wore, the colors of everything, and the textures the country had to offer whether it was buildings or rocks.

Here is my color story, it seems to be quite a big color story and I probably will reduce it once the fabrics are finalized.
So I hope everyone enjoyed my inspiration, I can't wait to share with you all the collection once it's done. Until next time, folks!

-Cheers!

R A I N Y D A Y

It's been raining all week and it will keep on raining till who knows when... this kind of weather always makes me tired. I am definitely a person who feels energized when I see and feel the sun. Don't get me wrong, sometimes rain can make me feel at peace... I especially love rainy nights when you just relax, read a good book while sipping on a hot cup of tea.

An outfit fit for the rain, I've got the rainboots! I apologize for looking kind of not photo ready, I was exhausted after work. My skin has been hating me lately too, I need to take better care of it. Striped knit turtleneck sweater from Ralph Lauren, cropped trench from Ann Taylor, currently favorite dark denim from DL1961, rainboots from Steven Madden, bag from Marc by Marc Jacobs, and tartan scarf.

I've been quite in love with the color red-orange, thus the red-orange nails and lipstick. Sometimes I like to make my make-up make a statement rather than my outfit. Sometimes an outfit can bring you a little sunshine on a gloomy day... cheesy, I know.
It's been such a busy week for me! And it's going to keep on being busy till who knows when... hopefully I can keep up with this lifestyle. Wish me luck!
-Cheers!
